ABOUT OUMOU FOFANA
Oumou Fofana is an entertainment journalist and on-camera host with over eight years of street reporting, writing, and editing experience. She is currently a staff writer for BET.com, the founder of independent media platform Oumou Media and the host of "Afrobeats Takeover," a podcast dedicated to African creators. Oumou previously served as a news editor at REVOLT, content writer at HOT 97, breaking news reporter at the New York Post, and production assistant at MSNBC. She has also written for Essence GU, AM New York Metro, and New York Daily News. The New York native has conducted exclusive interviews with some of popular culture's most celebrated talents. She understands the many ways of storytelling through text, audio, video, graphics, and social media.
